The Confucius Institute at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø (ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø CI) is a vibrant celebration of Chinese language and culture, providing an insight for students, staff and the wider community. It was co-founded by the University of Science and Technology in Beijing (USTB), the Chinese partner university of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø CI.
ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø CI runs a wide variety of courses, public events and activities designed to share Chinese language and culture for better relations between China and the UK. These include a focus on the development of the city to stimulate local economic growth and to enhance mutual educational and cultural communication. Activities are open to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø staff, students and the local community and include:
The Institute works with and ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Local, to offer an on-campus international experience for ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø staff and students as well as a two-week Summer School each year at the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB).
